David Gilmour to Publish New Lyrics in Local UK Newspapers alongside Signed Album Giveaway

The lyrics to the songs from David Gilmour’s critically-acclaimed new album, Luck and Strange, are to be given their worldwide reveal via adverts in selected local UK newspapers tomorrow (Thursday 5th September), ahead of the album’s release on Friday (6th September).

As an added incentive to David’s fans to track down the lyrics in their local paper, each of the seven newspapers which feature an ad with lyrics will also include the character from the album’s cover art hidden somewhere within its pages.

The first fan to spot each hidden Luck and Strange man who then emails a photo of it (alongside the newspaper name and page number) to [email protected] will win one of seven Deluxe Box Sets of the new album signed by David himself. Full contest info, including T&Cs, is available below.

Luck and Strange is David Gilmour’s first new album in nine years and has already heralded by Mojo as “Certainly the best solo album of his career” and by Uncut as being “as affecting as anything in Gilmour’s canon”.

The Luck and Strange man will appear in seven publications. The first emails received to [email protected] with a clear, self-taken photo of the Luck and Strange man from each of the publications, with the name of the publication and page number, will be deemed the winners (one winner per publication).

We will contact entrants via their emails. If entrants don’t respond within 24 hours to our message we’ll contact a different entrant and you will not receive the prize.
