Florence, Italy

September 15, 2015

Tonight saw a change of style in venue, in that amphitheatres were exchanged for a custom-built venue, inhabiting a portion of a racetrack. The forecast was for thunder, but in the end it was another balmy night for the show in Florence and any thunder in the air was in fact the rapturous applause for another great show. In the first set, In Any Tongue was particularly well received, while the second set saw its first new addition: Coming Back To Life.

The full set was…

First Set: 5 A.M.; Rattle That Lock; Faces Of Stone; Wish You Were Here; A Boat Lies Waiting; The Blue; Money; Us And Them; In Any Tongue; High Hopes.

Second Set: Astronomy Domine; Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 1-5); Fat Old Sun; Coming Back To Life, On An Island; The Girl In The Yellow Dress; Today; Sorrow; Run Like Hell. The encores were again Time/Breathe (reprise) and Comfortably Numb.

Full marks to Lighting Operator Dietrich Juengling who, working alongside Lighting/Production Director Marc Brickman, has the challenging job of making sure that every single lighting effect happens in time and on cue, to create the visual extravaganza that is the Rattle That Lock Tour.
